Chris Harvie and Peta Harvie have a passion for design and built form, which has fuelled decades of success for their independent real estate business. From the moment they spoke to us about expanding into property cleaning and maintenance, we knew this would be a different kind of offering. Beginning with naming, we created a brand that disrupts the market through identity, stationery, uniforms and website.

To combat the sameness of competing brands, a more creative approach was required. The solution was to capitalise on the founders’ dedication to architecture, which translated into the brand name SURFACE. The brand-mark customises a sans serif typeface, while a distinctive geometric icon features to the left. This icon leads to a larger suite of geometric shapes, creating a design-flavoured visual language reminiscent of the architectural spaces SURFACE takes care of. These assets can be used in unlimited combinations, while fashion forward colours keep the brand fresh and alive for the future.
Property maintenance just got glamorous!
The result is a clean minimalist brand which reinvents the cleaning and maintenance category. The owners’ passion for design and form is inherent throughout the brand, while the dynamic website was developed by Hyphen.
